| المستخلص: | اشتمَلَ المعجمُ الوسيطُ على أمثلة كثيرة لتفسيرات صرفيّة، مصحوبةٍ بسياقات مختلفة. وكانت هذه السياقات نصوصًا من القرآن الكريم، أو الحديث، أو الشعر، أو الأمثال، أو نحوِها من النصوص. تنقسم السياقات القرآنيّة والحديثيّة والأدبيّة الواردة مع التفسيرات الصرفيّة في المعجم الوسيط على قسمين: أ-السياقات التوضيحيّة: وهي النصوص التي تُصاحِبُ التفسيرَ الصرفيَّ، فتُوضِّحُ المعنى الصرفيَّ، وتُبيِّنُهُ. وقد يكونُ التفسيرُ الصرفيُّ موضّحًا لمعنى نصٍّ من النصوص، ولا سيّما في النصوص الأدبيّة، كالأشعار والأمثال. وإنما يكونُ السياقُ توضيحيا حين لا يَذكُرُ المعجميُّ للمفردة المراد تفسيرُها إلّا معنًى واحدًا، فيأتي السياق إمّا مُوضِّحًا للتفسير، أو مُوَضَّحًا بالتفسير. ب-السياقات التعيينيّة: وهي النصوصُ التي تُصاحِبُ التفسيرَ الصرفيَّ، فتُعيِّنُ المعنى الصرفيَّ، وتُحدِّدُهُ، وتقطعُ الاحتمالاتِ، حين تكونُ الصيغةُ الصرفيّةُ تُستعمَلُ، وهي خارجة عن السياق، للدلالةِ على أكثرَ من معنًى صرفيٍّ. وإنما يكونُ السياقُ تعيينيًّا حين يَذكُرُ المعجميُّ للمفردةِ المراد تفسيرُها عدَّةَ معانٍ، فيأتي السياقُ لتعيينِ بعضِها، وتمييزِهِ من سائر المعاني.
