| المستخلص: | استهدف المقال عرض كتاب إمارات شمال الخليج العربي (البصرة/ الأحواز/ الكويت) لرسول الحسناوي والصادر عن دار الرافدين. بدأ المقال بالحديث عن إشكالية عنوان الكتاب مشيرا إلى أنه جاء بعيد عن الدقة حيث وصف المدن الثلاثة بوصف الإمارات في مخالفة للواقع التاريخي وأن المؤلف كان من الممكن أن يخرج من مأزق التوصيف الجامع للمدن الثلاث لو جعل عنوان كتابه حواضر رأس الخليج الثلاث وبذا يتجنب وصفها بما ليس فيها من ناحية ويتجنب خطأ تحديد موقعه الجغرافي من ناحية أخرى. تطرق بعدها لتناول مضامين الكتاب مشيرا إلى أن التكوين الذي قصده المؤلف هو تمصير الحواضر الثلاث وقد ترتب على هذا القصد وقوع المؤلف في إشكالية تباين طول الحقبة الزمنية الخاضعة للدراسة بالنسبة إلى كل حاضرة من الحواضر الثلاث. وأن اتخاذ التمصير مبتدأ للبحث وضع على عاتق المؤلف مهمة مستعصية وهى تغطية أحداث مدد زمنية طويلة في صفحات محدودة. ثم انتقل المقال في تناوله لعرض الكتاب للحديث عن أبرز أوجه الإضافة المعرفية أو المنهجية مبينا أن الكاتب لم يكن في كتابته تحت تأثير الحوافز التي تحفز الباحث للبحث، كنجاحه في العثور على مصادر جديدة أو مناقشة وجهات نظر وصل إليها باحثون سابقون بل كان يستهدف شيئا أخر مثل إعطاء معلومات عن هذه المنطقة وتسليط الضوء أكثر على الصراعات التي دارت في كل من البصرة والأحراز والكويت حتى مجيء الاستعمار العثماني والبريطاني وتنافسهما على السيطرة وبسط النفوذ على تلك الإمارات. وأنه بالتدقيق في ثنايا الكتاب نجد أن الكاتب ظل مخلصا للمنهج التاريخي ومع ذلك لم يقدمه بشكل دقيق. وقدم المقال أمثلة على الأخطاء التي وقع فيها الكتاب كعدم توثيق بعض المعلومات وإيراد كثير من أسماء الأعلام والمواضع دون تعريف وغيرها الكثير. واختتم المقال بأن ما تم ذكره من ملاحظات ما هى إلا رغبة مخلصة للارتقاء بمستوى البحوث.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018 \n The article aimed at presenting the book of The Emirates of the Northern Arabian Gulf (Al-Basra / Al-Ahwaz / Kuwait), written by Rasul Al-Hasnawi and issued by Dar Al-Rafidain. The article began by talking about the problem of the title of the book, pointing out that it was far from accurate, describing the three cities as emirates and violating the historical reality, and that the author could have come out of the impasse of the inclusive classification of the three cities if the title of his book would have been the three capitals of the Gulf, thus avoiding describing them incorrectly on one hand and not mistaking their geographical locations on the other. It then addressed the contents of the book, indicating that the composition intended by the author is to popularize the three cities. Yet, this intention of the author resulted in the problem of contrast of the length of the period under study for each of the three capitals. In addition, beginning the research by popularization assigned a difficult task to the author, which is covering the events of long periods of time in limited pages. The article went on in presenting the book to discussing the most prominent aspects of cognitive or methodological addition, illustrating that the writer was not influenced by the incentives that motivate the researcher to do research; as succeeding in finding new sources or discussing the views concluded by former researchers. He, on the contrary, aimed at something else, such as giving Information about this region and shed more light on the conflicts that took place in Al-Basra, Al-Ahwaz and Kuwait until the advent of the Ottoman and the British colonialism, their competition for control and spreading their influence over those emirates. Moreover, looking through the pages of the book, we find that the writer remained faithful to the historical approach and yet did not provide it accurately. The article provided examples of mistakes in the book, such as the lack of documentation of some information, mentioning many names of famous figures and places without defining them, and many others.
