المستخلص:تعددت الجوانب التي تناولت مفهوم الشكل زمكانياً، واختلفت باختلاف الفلسفات والتوجهات الفكرية السائدة، والدراسة الشكل في التصميم الداخلي من جميع جوانبه الفكرية، لابد من دراسة مصادره وخواصه والعلاقة المتبادلة بينه وبين والوظيفة المؤداة والمعنى، فالشكل غير المنفصل عن معناه الفكري حيث يجسد وجهي التصميم النفعي والجمالي في تكامل وتآزر. \ فالأفكار المبدعة هي رؤية ناتجة عن قدرة وقابلية المصمم الداخلي في المناورة بالمفردات والعناصر من خلال استخدامه الشكل في سياقات جديدة لتوصيل معنى معين، وإيجاد وظيفة جديدة والذي يغدو بدوره قوة كامنة تثير المتلقي. \ لذا فإن موضوع الشكل في التصميم الداخلي يكتسب أهمية كبيرة من خلال أهمية تأثيره على المتلقي وتفضيله لتصميم على آخر من خلال الربط بين الشكل وبناءه الفكري والوظيفة المؤداة للوصول إلى تصاميم أكثر تنظيماً في العلاقات بما يخدم المصمم الداخلي في عملية ابتكار بيئة داخلية مبدعة، ومن هنا تظهر أهمية البحث في كونه يحاول تقديم مؤشرات تفيد في معرفة الدور الفعال للشكل وآلياته في العملية التصميمية، لأنه أحد الوسائل المهمة في العملية التصميمية الجديدة، كما يساعد في تقديم رؤية واضحة للعلاقات الشكلية المتوازنة في فعل التصميم الداخلي. \ وتأسيسا على ما تقدم يمكننا تلخيص المشكلة البحثية في قلة الدراسات الواضحة والمباشرة التي تكشف عن أهمية المنظومة الشكلية في البناء الفكري للفضاءات الداخلية كونها أحد أهم الوسائل التصميمية التي يتعامل معها المصمم للوصول إلى غايته، فضلاً عن دور تلك المنظومة في براز العلاقات الشكلية – الوظيفية المشتركة في التعبير عن حاجات الإنسان المتطورة عير الزمن، أما هدف البحث فلقد تمثل بالوصول إلى مؤشرات تفيد في معرفة الدور الفعال للشكل وآلياته، كونه احد الوسائل المهمة في ثورة التغيير المستمرة المؤثرة في العملية التصميمية الجديدة. أما الإطار النظري للبحث فلقد شمل دراسة عدة جوانب تضمنت دراسة كل من الشكل لغة واصطلاحا وآلياته، ومصادره المؤثرة في التصميم الداخلي، وخواص الشكل في التصميم الداخلي، والدور الفكري للشكل في عملية التصميم وصولاً إلى الشكل بوصفه مجالاً للتعبير عن الوظيفة، وبعد استكمال الإطار النظري تم استخلاص مجموعة من النتائج والاستنتاجات منها أن شكل الفضاء الداخلي يضم مخطط فكري له علاقة بكيفية بناء العناصر والمكونات وإنتاج الشكل على وفق نظام معين. والفضاء الداخلي وفي أحيان كثيرة ليس استجابة لمتطلب وظيفي أو معنوي أو إنشائي فقط،، وليس تأويلا مباشرا له، بل لإيصال حالة فكرية أو رسالة معبرة عن فكر المصمم وثقافته الخاصة.
