| المستخلص: | هذه الدراسة عبارة عن ورقة عمل باللغة الإنجليزية قدمتها ليلى فرسخ إلى جامعة ماساتشوستس / بوسطن، تفحص فيها أسباب الفشل الاقتصادي في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة من سنة 1993 إلى الوقت الحاضر، أي ما بعد اتفاق أوسلو وإنشاء السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية، وما شهدته تلك الفترة من تطورات تمثلت في احتلال الجيش الإسرائيلي الضفة الغربية وفرضه قيوداً شديدة عليها فيما بعد، وحصار قطاع غزة، والانقسام الفلسطيني، وعدم قدرة حكومات التكنوقراط الموقتة برئاسة سلام فياض على تغيير وجهة الاقتصاد الفلسطيني، على الرغم من ضخ مساعدات مالية دولية كبيرة في هذا الاقتصاد. This study is a working paper in English submitted by Laila Farsakh to the University of Massachusetts / Boston, in which she examines the causes of economic failure in the West Bank and Gaza Strip from 1993 to the present, that is, after the Oslo Agreement and the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority, and the developments that occurred during that period represented in the Israeli army’s occupation of the West Bank and later imposition of severe restrictions on it, the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian division, and the inability of the interim technocratic governments headed by Salam Fayyad to change the direction of the Palestinian economy, despite the infusion of huge international financial aid into this economy.
