| المستخلص: | تمثل البيئة الشعبية العراقية بشكل عام والنجفية على وجه الخصوص وما تضم من عمران، أبنية، أزقة، مقاهي، دكاكين، حركة الناس والباعة المتجولين، جزء أساسي من تاريخ المدينة وهويتها، والتي لاتزال شاخصة بكل ملامحها حتى يومنا هذا، تحتفظ بمكوناتها الأساسية والمميزة، رغم ما حدث من تغيرات عمرانية وحضارية. أن المكونات البسيطة والتصميم المحكم والتنفيذ الجميل للبيئة الشعبية النجفية، يستند إلى أسس ونظام بناء وتشكيل فريد ومميز قد لا نجد له نظير في مكان آخر، وبذلك شكل مادة خصبة وثرية لكل الباحثين والدارسين والمبدعين، وهو في ذات الوقت يمثل الذاكرة الشعبية والشاهد الحي لأحداث وحكايات مختلفة لايزال صداها يتردد بين جوانب أزقتها الضيقة وشناشيلها المتشابكة، تلهم وتلفت نظر كل الداخلين إليها على مر الزمان، وعليه كانت هذه الأماكن مادة أساسية في رسوم طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة وجزء مهم في تنفيذ أفكارهم والتعبير عن مواهبهم، لارتباط هؤلاء الطلبة بهذا الواقع الذي يعيشونه وقربهم منه، فهم يشاهدونه كل يوم ويتلمسون تكويناته وألوانه الزاهية والبراقة.
