| المستخلص: | سنحاول في مداخلتنا هذه تسليط الضوء على المسألة الجدلية الخاصة بعلاقة الإسلام بالمسيحية في العصر الحديث متخذين على وجه الخصوص تعاريف واعتبارات المسيحية للإسلام على أنه مذهب خاطئ في معتقداته، ومليء بالأخطاء في طقوسه وتعاليمه، لتبرير ممارساته في منطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط. \nمن جهة أخرى تبدو هذه الديانة- الإسلام- كإشكالية أفرزت كتابات تاريخية من طرف كثير من أتباعه خلال العصر المذكور، مما يعبر عن إيديولوجية جديدة في تصور واعتبار العالم الإسلامي، وبخاصة في بعض الكتابات في تلك الفترة. \nلهذا ونظرا لأهمية الموضوع، نعتبر مدى خصوصية الحقبة التاريخية الحديثة، وبالأخص القرنين الأولين من العصر الحديث في مساحاته الزمنية والفكرية والحضارية للتحقق أكثر وفعليا من الأحداث، ورؤية كل واحد للآخر، ودور العامل الديني في إثراء وترسيخ الجذور العميقة للمستقبل القريب في الترابط الجواري، وفكرة الاختلاف عند كلا الفريقين، ووجهة نظرهما المتقاطعة. كل هذه التساؤلات سنحاول الإجابة عنها من خلال كتاب "توبوغرافيا وتاريخ الجزائر العام" لـ"أنتونيو دي سوسا". In this paper, we will try to highlight the argumentative issue of Islam's relationship with Christianity in modern times. We particularly take the definitions and considerations of Christianity towards Islam (that consider it), a religion that is wrong in its beliefs, full of errors in its rituals and teachings, to justify practices practiced by Christianity in the Mediterranean region. \nOn the other hand, this religion — Islam — appears to be a problem that produced historical writings by many of its followers during the said era, reflecting a new ideology in the perception and consideration of the Islamic world, especially in some writings of that period. \nTherefore and given the importance of the topic, we consider the specificity of the modern historical era, especially the first two centuries of modern times in its temporal, intellectual, and civilizational spaces for more and effective verification of events and the vision of each one for the other, the role of the religious factor in enriching and consolidating the deep roots of the near future in the immediate cohesion, the idea of the difference between both groups, and their intersecting view.
