| المستخلص: | تعددت آراء الباحثين بشأن محددات صنف المسرح الشعبي في العالم فمنهم من وجد في العروض السياسية عروضاً شعبية في حين يرى آخرون في العروض الكوميدية أو التي تتناول المشكلات الاجتماعية، أو كل ما يبني نمطاً مباشراً من العلاقة بين الملقي والمتلقي هي عروض شعبية، ومن المؤكد فإن المسرح الشعبي العراقي له محدداته الخاصة نتيجة الاختلافات البنائية للمجتمع العراقي على الأصعدة كافة، وذلك وجد الباحث أن مشكلة البحث تتمثل في الإجابة عن التساؤل الآتي: (ما هي المحددات الصنفية أو حدود الصنف للعرض المسرحي الشعبي العراقي-مسرحية الخيط والعصفور أنموذجاً)، ثم بعد ذلك حدد الباحث هدف بحثه المتمثل في الكشف عن تلك المحددات، واعتبار البحث ذات أهمية علمية للدارسين والباحثين. ولذلك تناول الباحث الرحلة التاريخية لتطور المسرح الشعبي عالمياً وعربياً في المبحث الأول من الإطار النظري ثم استعرض مفهوم هذا الصنف من العرض المسرحي عالمياً. وفى إجراءات البحث بين الباحث مبررات اختياره لتلك العينة (مسرحية الخيط والعصفور) ولعل من أهمها ما اكتسبه هذا العرض من شعبية ونجاح جماهيري إلى الآن برغم مرور أكثر من خمسة وعشرين عاماً على عرضها ولأنها أيضاً تتفق وأهداف الباحث، وبعد تحليلها على وفق المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وثبت الباحث أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها بالاستناد إلى مؤشرات الإطار النظري ولعل من أهم تلك النتائج هي أن العرض المسرحي الشعبي يحتوي على جميع المحددات الصنفية التي أسست للعروض المسرحية الشعبية العالمية.
