| المستخلص: | Professor Michael Fontaine's review of Reginaldus Thomas Foster and Daniel Patricius McCarthy. 2016. Ossa Latinitatis Sola Ad Mentem Reginaldi Rationemque, provided inspiration for this bilingual study. The present co-authored paper is divided into two main sections: The first section in Arabic is by Magda El-Nowieemy, under the title of "Why Latin?" It is a briefly considered introductory piece that deals with two points: - What does Latin mean for the Arab World? - What does Latin mean for the West? The second section of the paper in English is by Michael Fontaine, under the title of "That is Latin". It is a review of Reginaldus Thomas Foster and Daniel Patricius McCarthy. 2016.
