| المستخلص: | The aim of the research was to identify the reality of reading among the students of the University of Sharjah, their attitudes towards reading and their motives for that, as it aimed to identify students' reading areas and the obstacles they encounter. The study sample consisted of 120 individual students at the University of Sharjah as a society to study. The questionnaire consisted of four axes: First, Students' attitudes towards reading, Second, Students' motivation towards reading, Third, Reading Areas for Students, Fourth, students' difficulties with Reading. The questionnaire consisted of 46 statements. The main results of the study were as follows: 1. Most of the positive trends towards reading have been widely approved as compared to negative trends. 2. Motivations towards reading came in a variety of terms where all statments obtained the degree of approval. 3. The reading fields of the students of the University of Sharjah were ranked in descending order as follows: a. Social and cultural fields. b. Religious Subjects. c. The riddles and jokes. 2. With regard to the most important obstacles, the results showed that the ease of reliance on modern media as an alternative to reading came first, in addition to the fact that the requirements of the study occupy all the time of students. هدف البحث الكشف عن واقع القراءة لدى طلبة جامعة الشارقة، واتجاهاتهم نحوها ودوافعهم إليها، كما هدف إلى التعرف على مجالات القراءة، ومعوقاتها لديهم، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من (120) مفردة من طلبة الجامعة، وقد أعدت استبانة لاستقصاء واقع القراءة لدى طلبة جامعة الشارقة كمجتمع للدراسة، وقد تكونت الاستبانة من أربعة محاور هي: 1. اتجاهات الطلبة نحو القراءة، 2. دوافع الطلبة نحو القراءة، 3. مجالات القراءة لدى الطلبة، 4. معوقات القراءة لدى الطلبة، وبلغت فقرات الاستبانة (46) فقرة. وجاءت أبرز نتائج الدراسة في أدناه: 1. إن أغلب الاتجاهات الإيجابية نحو القراءة قد حصلت على الموافقة بنسب كبيرة مقارنة بالاتجاهات السلبية. 2. جاءت الدوافع نحو القراءة متنوعة حيث حصلت كل فقرات المحور على درجة الموافقة. 3. جاءت مجالات القراءة لدى طلبة جامعة الشارقة مرتبة تنازليا كالتالي: A. المجالات الاجتماعية والثقافية. B. الموضوعات الدينية. C. النوادر والطرائف. 4. فيما يتعلق بأهم المعوقات، بينت النتائج أن سهولة الاعتماد على الوسائط الحديثة كبديل للقراءة جاءت في المقدمة، إضافة إلى كون متطلبات الدراسة تشغل كل أوقات الطلبة. |
