المستخلص:The current study aims to shed light on the scholastic activities in the Prophet's Mosque during the ninth century AH, to refute what was common about that century of inactivity and lack of scientific production in the Prophet's Mosque. The author emphasizes that the Prophet's Mosque is the place of preparing leaders of knowledge and thought, and the dignitaries from the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) until now. Besides, the Prophet's Mosque has played an important role in the ninth century in the educational process in Al-Medina and outside. It was an open university for the spreading Islamic sciences. The researcher divided the study into three sections: The first section dealt with the scientific institutions in the Prophet's Mosque such as: the Makatib that extensively appeared in the back of the Prophet's Mosque during the ninth century AH, and the scientific circles, whether public or private. Both circles were famous throughout the ages due to the migration of large numbers of Scholars and students from different parts of the Islamic world, as well as the scholars and travelers who came to Al-Madinah for the sake of Hajj and Umrah or Ziarah, and lead the scientific seminars in the Prophet's Mosque. This was in addition to the libraries, such as the Bookcase of the Prophet's Mosque, and the private libraries owned by scholars, princes and senior citizens. The second section was devoted to the study of sciences, and the most famous scholars in Sharia' sciences, Arabic, social sciences, and experimental sciences. The third topic reviewed the factors affecting the scholastic activities in the Prophet's Mosque, such as the mosque adjacent, and visitors, whether to seek knowledge or to ask for accreditation, showing the role of the Mamaleek Sultans in the promotion of science and scientists in the ninth century AH. The researcher concluded that the adjacent were the cornerstone of the scholastic activities in the Prophet's Mosque in the ninth century AH.
