| 520 | |b This report focuses on the circumstances surrounding the American vision of the Trump Administration to the settlement of the Palestinian issue – named the „Deal of the Century‟. A US team was especially formed to manage, execute and follow up on this project. This involved pressuring the Palestinians to accepting the deal through diplomatic and financial means, closing the PLO Office in Washington, stopping American aid to UNRWA and shrinking financial support to the Palestinian Authority. The pressures include forcing the Arab countries to „delink‟ normalization with Israel with the Palestinian issue. The report focuses on the obstacles facing such a scenario and include: Finding a Palestinian party that accepts the Deal of The Century, create an Arab-regional consensus on this issue, getting the Palestinian and Arab populations to accept, international accord, accepting Israeli conditions, fathoming the Israeli domestic political crisis and the ultimate possibility of military confrontation with Israel. The obstacles and challenges facing the „Deal of the Century‟ are much which means the opportunities and horizons to create real achievements on the political and economic levels are low. The economic side which the US is focusing on is not attractive for either the Palestinians or Jordanians since the plan is absent in mentioning the Palestinian state, Palestinian rights and only talks about a Palestinian community. | ||
