| المستخلص: | In this paper, I will sketch three models of interdisciplinary, the “centralist”, “pluralist” and “integrationist” models. They are not presented as a kind of menu of choice from which researchers can choose according to their needs, but as approaches that have historically evolved in the order in which I will discuss them and are now co present, also in my own practice. I see the third and most recent, “integrationist” model as the way forward for interdisciplinary research, although I will also acknowledge some of its pitfalls. In discussing the models, I will mostly draw on examples from my own practice, in part because I am not particularly interested in criticising the more “mono-disciplinary” research paradigms that have formed me, and in part because the ideas I will present have primarily emerged from reflection on my own practice in various collaborative research projects. If occasionally I do criticise aspects of the paradigms in which my work continues to be located(specifically, systemic functional linguistics, social semiotics and critical discourse analysis), this is intended as a formulation both of the specific contributions they have to offer in new interdisciplinary contexts, and of the specific interdisciplinary connections they need to fulfill their own promises. سأعرض في هذه الورقة لثلاثة نماذج لتداخل التخصصات، هي النموذج المركزي centralist، والنموذج التعددي pluralist، والنموذج التكاملي integrationist. ولن أعرض لها على نحو قائمة خيارات ينتقي الباحثون منها وفق احتياجاتهم، وإنما كمداخل تطورت تاريخيا، بذات التسلسل الذي سأعرض لها فيه، وصولا إلى مرحلة التكامل بينها في الوقت الحاضر. وأرى أن النموذج الثالث، أعني النموذج التكاملي، وهو أحدثها ظهورا، هو السبيل نحو البحوث البينية، غير أنني سأعترف أيضا ببعض من مخاطرة. وغالبا ما سأعتمد في مناقشتي للنماذج الثلاثة على أمثلة من واقع ممارستي الشخصية. ويرجع ذلك جزئيا إلى كوني غير مهتم نوعا ما بتوجيه النقد نحو الأنماط البحثية أحادية التخصص mono disciplinary التي أسهمت في تكويني. كما أن تلك الأفكار التي سأطرحها قد انبثقت أصلا من التأمل في ممارستي الشخصية في مشاريع بحثية تعاونية متنوعة. وإذا ما قمت من حين لآخر بتوجيه النقد نحو مظاهر الأنماط البحثية التي لا يزال عملي واقعا فيها (وتحديدا اللغويات الوظيفية النظامية، والسيميائية الاجتماعية، وتحليل الخطاب النقدي)، فإنما أهدف إلى صياغة كل من الإسهامات المحددة التي يمكن أن تقدمها تلك الأنماط في سياقات بينية جديدة، والارتباطات البينية المحددة التي هي في حاجة إليها لكي تفي بتعهداتها الخاصة. |
