| المستخلص: | The aim of the work to show the morphology of the adrenal gland of the adult Sudanese duck (Anas platyrhynchos), morphological study of the adult adrenal gland has been carried out. Gross and histological features were examined. The adrenal glands were two small organs, irregularly oval and pale yellow in the colour. Histological, the adrenal gland was covered with a connective tissue capsule consisting of collagenous and reticular fibres. The parenchyma consisted of cortex and medulla which were mixed together. Nerve fibres have been domenstrated. تتميز الغدة الكظرية في ذكور البط بلونها الأصفر الفاقع غير منتظمة الحدود. وتتكون الغدة مجهريا من غلاف من نسيج ضام وقشرة ولب ولكن الترتيب العام للقشرة واللب يختلف عن ذلك الذي في الغدد المماثلة في الحيوانات الأخرى. نجد أن القشرة واللب يمتزجان مع بعضهم البعض. كما شملت الدراسة الألياف العصبية. |
