| المستخلص: | This paper deals with large estates of high officials under Ptolemy Philadelphus (284-246-BC). The large Memphite estate granted to Apollonius the dioketes in the 3rd century BC, which is heavily mentioned in Zenon archive, is a case study. The paper considers the location, organization, and economic structure of this estate as well as its role in the Egyptian economy. Also, it highlights the managing and working staff of the estate. |
