| المستخلص: | Most of companies face a lot of risks and crises, especially the human resource in the air transport sector. Consequently, this research aims to study the possibility of applying the Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 standards in Sharm El-Sheikh Airport and shows how the Egyptian airports can improve the occupational health & safety (OH&S) for their employees through the effective implementation of the (OHSAS) 18001 standards which are based on hazard identification, risk management and determination of the applicable control, and put A steps for the application of the OHSAS 18001 in Sharm El-Sheikh Airport. The methodology of this paper based on in depth interviews with the officials responsible for quality in Sharm El Sheikh airport, who are investigating the readiness for adopting these standards .The study finds that Sharm El-Sheikh Airport applied 58.98% from OHSAS standards and there are many challenges which are faced it, such as: too many legal requirements for adopting OHSAS, training programs, auditing programs, and overall operational plans. |
