| المستخلص: | This study aimed to identify social, psychological and economic problems facing cancer patients at Jordan University Hospital. Furthermore, it seeks ways identifying ways to minimize such problem perceived by patients, in addition to knowing differences in problems accordingly to (gender, age and monthly income). A questionnaire was distributed after being developed on a deliberate sample of (75) patients from the study population (2093) patients according to the hospital administration data for the year 2015. The study used the sample social survey methodology. Results indicating the following: the degree of patients’ problems on the three areas were moderate in general, social problems came first followed by economic then psychological problems. The most important social problems for patients were: the lack of a social worker at the hospital, then the inability to deal with others because of the disease, in addition to the disease’s negative effect on the relationship with children in the family. The most important psychological problems were: the patient feeling that his family in treating him with pity due to his condition, the sense of despair and frustration from life followed by feeling depressed. The most prominent economic problems were: selling property during illness, loosing employment and then suffering from poverty. Results also showed no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) on the three areas of problems attributed to the variables of "gender, age and monthly income". The study recommends the need for full exemption for all patients with cancer of the cost of medical treatment, and for them to be included under the umbrella of comprehensive insurance, the appointment of medical social workers in hospitals, to work on providing suitable jobs for cancer patients and to adjust and mitigate administrative procedures as much as possible for patients. هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى المشكلات التي تواجه مرضي السرطان المراجعين لمستشفى الجامعة الأردنية، في المجالات: (الاجتماعية، النفسية، والاقتصادية)، والتعرف إلى سبل التقليل من هذه المشكلات كما يراها المرضي، وإلى معرفة الفروق في المشكلات تبعاً: لمتغيرات (النوع الاجتماعي، العمر، والدخل الشهري). وقد تم توزيع استبانة تم تطويرها على عينة قصدية عددها (75) مريضاً ومريضة من مجتمع الدراسة الكلي والبالغ (2093) مريض ومريضة حسب بيانات إدارة المستشفى للعام 2015، وقد استخدمت الدراسة منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: إن درجة المشكلات لدى المرضي على المجالات الثلاثة كانت متوسطة بشكل عام، وجاء في المستوى الأول المشكلات الاجتماعية يليها الاقتصادية ثم النفسية. أما أهم المشكلات الاجتماعية تالتي يعاني منها المرضي فكان أبرزها: عدم وجود أخصائي اجتماعي في المستشفى، ثم عدة القدرة على التعامل مع الآخرين بسبب المرض، وكذلك انعكاس المرض سلباً على العلاقة مع الأبناء في الأسرة. وأهم المشكلات النفسية كانت: شعور المريض بأن أسرته تعامله بشفقه بسبب حالته المرضية، ومشكلة الشعور باليأس والإحباط من الحياة، ثم يليها الشعور بالاكتئاب، أما أبرز المشكلات الاقتصادية كانت: بيع بعض الممتلكات أثناء المرض، وفقدان العمل من قبل المريض، ثم المعاناة من الفقر. كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α≤ 0.05) على المجالات الثلاثة للمشكلات تعزي إلى متغيرات "النوع الاجتماعي، العمر، والدخل الشهري". وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة الإعفاء الكامل لجميع المرضي المصابين بالسرطان من كلفة العلاج الطبي وإدراجهم بمظلة التأمين الصحي الشامل، وتعيين أخصائيين اجتماعيين ممارسين في المستشفى، والعمل على توفير العمل المناسب لهم، وتعديل الإجراءات الإدارية وتخفيفها ما أمكن على المراجعين. |
