| المستخلص: | تضمن البحث مقدمة عن اهمية علم النفس وما تضمنه من مفاهيم مختلفة ومن ضمنها اهمية الحاجة الى المعرفة وكذلك الانجاز الدراسي وما لهما من دور كبير في اعداد الطالب الجامعي حيث تعرض الطالب خلال هذه الفترة من حياته الى ظروف مختلفة تنتهي بعد نهاية الفصل الدراسي ،وقد تم تحديد مشكلة البحث في التعرف على واقع الحاجة الى المعرفة وكذلك الانجاز الدراسي لدى طلاب كلية التربية البدنية وعلوم الرياضة في جامعة بابل ثم تم بعد ذلك التعرف على أهم أهداف البحث وهي اعداد مقياسي الحاجة الى المعرفة والانجاز الدراسي ومن ثم ايجاد العلاقة بين المتغيرين ، وقد تم التطرق في الباب الثاني الى مفهوم الحاجة الى المعرفة وكذلك مفهوم الانجاز الدراسي وبعض النظريات ذات العلاقة بالموضوع ،اما في الباب الثالث فقد تم عرض اهم المراحل البحثية من ناحية المنهج المتبع وهو المنهج الوصفي والمجتمع والعينة واعداد المقياسين الخاصين بالعمل البحثي والمراحل الخاصة بذلك ، اما في الباب الرابع فقد عرض ما توصلت الية الباحثة من معالجات احصائية للمقياسين والتعرف على ما تمتلكه العينة من هذين المتغيرين حيث توصلت الباحثة الى مجموعة من الاستنتاجات ومن ضمنها تمتع العينة بمستوى مرتفع من الحاجة الى المعرفة والانجاز الدراسي لما لهما من أهمية في مستوى الطالب الجامعي ، اما فيما يخص التوصيات فقد اوصت الباحثة بإجراء بحوث مشابهه على عينة الطالبات للتعرف على ما تمتلكه الطالبة الجامعية من هذه المتغيرات وكذلك ربطها مع متغيرات اخرى نفسية للاستفادة منها في تطوير الطالب الجامعي لأنه يمثل جانب مهم في الجامعة لأنه ينقل المعلومات التي يتلقاها الى المجتمع والمدرسة والطلاب اذن فهو مرأة للجامعة امام البيئة التي ينتمي اليها لذا لابد من الاهتمام بهذه الشريحة من الشباب لانهم مستقبل البلد.
