| المستخلص: | تمثل طريقة الانحدار إحدى النماذج الفعالة والجيدة التي أفادت منها البحوث الجغرافية لبناء النموذج. لذا يعد بناء النموذج من المراحل المتقدمة في الدراسات الحضرية الحديثة، وينبغي اللجوء إلى الإحصاء لبناء نموذج التوزيع الجغرافي لمراكز الخدمات في المستقرات البشرية، أذان مفهوم النموذج في الاصطلاح العلمي يتضمن المعاني اللغوية مثل تمثيل حقيقة معينة (نموذج لمشاريع الإسكان)، أو أنها تمثل معنى المثالية مثل (مركز صحي نموذجي). اعتمد البحث (النماذج الاحتمالية) الملائمة وطبيعة علم الجغرافية. إذ لا يوجد سبب واحد فقط ترتبط به الأشياء، بل يجب أن ننظر إلى مسببات عدة تتداخل مع بعضها البعض. من الضروري اعتمادها عند وضع الخطط الاستراتيجية التخطيطية لمشاريع تلك الخدمات.
