| المستخلص: | This paper investigates the early biographical details and attempts to assess the position of K‘ab al-Ahbhr as an authentic source of a large number of reports that find place in the Islamic annals. It takes up a critical assessment of highly skeptical, even inculpatory treatment of this personality by a number of people especially in recent times. The writer throws some light on his late acceptance of Islam and pleads for a more objective treatment of K‘ab al-Ahbar. According to the writer, a number of allegations levelled by current writers are without sufficient evidence. |
