| المستخلص: | Le présent travail, tente d’apporter quelque lumière sur l’histoire de la ville de Ta'izz sous les Ayyūbides (569-626/1173-1229), puis les Rasūlides (626- 858/1229-1454) à fin d’en éclaircir quelques zones d’ombre. Trois points essentiels sont abordés : Tout d’abord, les raisons du choix de Ta'izz comme «trône de la royauté», ensuite, l’élargissement du territoire urbain et de sa morphologie, puis enfin, le transfert de la résidence royale et des institutions royales du Ḥişn de Ta'izz, vers Ṯa'bāt une station de plaisance, devenue ville royale fortifiée. The following paper attempts to shed more light on the urban history of Ta‘izz under the Ayyūbides (569-626/1173-1229), and the Rasūlides (626-858/1229-1454), in order to tackle the following issues: First, the reasons Ta‘izz was chosen as a royal residence, then the urban territorial expansion and its morphology, and finally the transfer of the royal residence and other royal institutions from the Ḥişn n of Ta‘izz to Ṯa'bāt, a leisure resort turned a walled royal city. |
