المستخلص: | In Shari'ah, it is incumbent upon a debtor to speed up repaying his debts and it is forbidden to procrastinate so long as one can afford to pay. The debtors' procrastination, while possessing the financial ability to repay, imposes harm on the creditors whose life and trade might be affected by such delay to great extent. This research presents to creditors all the means they might use when facing debtors' procrastination. It explains the Shari'ah penalties and rulings that judges can implement to deter those debtors and get creditors their financial rights. The researcher presents the opinions of jurists and scholars from the eight schools of Jurisprudence with respect to this issue. |
