| المستخلص: | الأفعال الناسخة من أشهر أبواب النحو، وأسبقها في الدراسة، وهي ثلاثة أبواب: باب كان وأخواتها، وباب أفعال المقاربة، وباب ظن وأخواتها، وكتب النحو تكاد تتفق على عدد محدود للأفعال في كل باب، تعتني به وتجمع له الشواهد، وتفصل فيما له من الخصائص التعبيرية والمعنوية؛ ولكن ما كادت تجمع عليه أغلب الكتب النحوية في مسألة عدد أفعال كل باب قد تجاهل كثيراً من آراء النحاة المعتبرة في الزيادة على تلك الأفعال، وقد كان المعنى العام الذي بنيت عليه تلك الأبواب هو الحجة التي احتج بها من زاد في عددها، آزره في ذلك ما بلغة من شواهد الفصحاء، وقد رأيت أن أجمع في هذا البحث ما استطعت أن أصل إليه من أفعال ألحقها النحاة بتلك الأبواب مع بيان العلة التي من أجلها ألحقت، وإيراد ما أوردوه من الشواهد الفصيحة التي تشهد لرأيهم واجتهادهم.
