| 520 | |f The computer is a considered to be a new technology that has impacted the world. It has provided many advantages to users. However, at the same time, many people have become excessive in respect to their computer usage and are unable to control their usage, applying especially to middle school students and it impacts their health, education and relationships. The aim of this study is to identify the extent of computer use by middle school students in Kuwait, the impact of excessive computer usage upon their health, and the role of health education in respect to raising awareness about the drawbacks related to excessive computer usage. \nFor the purposes of this study, a questionnaire was developed and conducted. The arithmetic average and standard deviation were analyzed and the “T” test was measured using the “Statistical Packages of Social Sciences” (SPSS) program. \nThe results of the study showed a notable increase in the arithmetic average among middle school students who suffer from the problem of excessive computer usage. Many agreed that computer overuse had an impact on their health, causing severe headaches and vision problems with negative effects on their physical, mental and psychological development and overall health. Most of them also displayed (indications of) trauma disorder and societal violence. Th results also revealed has been a noticeable increase in the arithmetic average, in respect to health education playing a vital role, which is very important in respect to overcoming these difficulties and learning the healthy methods of using computers.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc 2018. | ||
| 520 | |a يعتبر الحاسوب تقنية جديدة أثرت على العالم، حيث قدم العديد من المزايا للمستخدمين، وفي الوقت نفسه، أصبح العديد من الأشخاص يفرطون في استخدام الحاسوب ويعجزون عن التحكم في استخدامهم له وخصوصا طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة وهذا يؤثر على صحتهم وتعليمهم وعلاقاتهم، إن الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو التعرف على مدى استخدام طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة في دولة الكويت للحاسوب، وأثر الإفراط في استخدام الحاسوب على صحتهم، ودور التربية الصحية في التوعية عن مساوئ الإفراط في استخدام الحاسوب، ولغرض هذه الدراسة، تم تطوير وإجراء استبيان وتم تحليل المتوسط الحسابي والانحراف المعياري واختبار ت باستخدام برنامج "الحزم الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية(SPSS)". أوضحت نتائج الدراسة وجود زيادة ملحوظة في المتوسط الحسابي بين طلبة المرحلة المتوسطة الذين يعانون من مشكلة الإفراط في استخدام الحاسوب، فقد وافق عدد كبير منهم على أن الإفراط في استخدام الحاسوب أثر على صحتهم، حيث تسبب في حدوث صداع حاد ومشاكل في الرؤية وترتب عليه آثار سلبية على نموهم البدني والعقلي والنفسي وعلى صحتهم الشاملة وأظهر أغلبهم اضطراب الصدمة والعنف المجتمعي، وقد ثبت وجود زيادة ملحوظة في المتوسط الحسابي، في أن التربية الصحية تلعب دورا حيا يعد مهما جدا في التغلب على هذه الصعوبات وتعلم الطرق الصحية لاستخدام الحاسوب. | ||
