المستخلص:The researchers notes that learners of English as a foreign language have not ability to speak English fluently and correctly. In addition, they cannot express their performance in writing skills in English. The researches questions are: How competent are Sudanese EFL learners in writing. What is the role of comprehension questions in reading? To what extend is the mother tongue situation needed to solve the problems of listening? What are the difficulties that face EFL learners in writing correct English language. The researchers used the descriptive statistical and analytical method of data collection and they have used two questionnaires as a tool. The questionnaires include various elements of data collection. The purpose is to provoke response on how to implement the skills development and all questions relating to the area of the study. The contribution of reading, extensive listening and understanding of the written language in order to reach a positive or negative results. The study was conducted in the state of Khartoum (June 2012 - June 2015). Students and teachers were randomly selected sample of students from four different universities students. And teachers of English in universities in Sudan in general and specifically in the state of Khartoum.
