المستخلص:Most people (60-80% of the world’s population) will experience back pain at some point in their lifetime. In most cases, it is not due to a serious disease or serious back problem, and the exact cause of the pain is not clear. This is called non-specific lower back pain and usually mechanical in nature. In the United States for example, it is the most common cause of job-related disability, a leading contributor to missed work and the estimated annual cost for back pain is $20 billion to $50 billion. The annual productivity losses resulting from lost work days are estimated to be $28 billion Aberdeen low back pain disability scale was used; it is a patient- completed, disease-specific questionnaire to measure outcome in patients with low back pain. 216 subjects; male and female participated in this study. The result of the study showed that 6% of all participants (males and females) had profound (more than severe) low back pain and consequently this pain interferes with their ability to work, to do sports, and all the activities of daily living.
