المستخلص:The inheritance of resistance to wheat leaf rust incited by Puccinia recondita ROb.ex Desm. f.sp. tritici, in six durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) cultivars, were studied in the segregating generations of the crosses made between these leaf rust - resistant durums and the susceptible cultivar, Local Red. Seedling plants of F1, F2, and F3 generations of each cross were tested for reaction to the culture D. 9 of Puccinia recondite f.sp. tritici. The results of the reaction of the different generations showed that Cocorit carry one recessive gene, and kyperounda, and Altar each carry two recessive genes. Two additive genes confer adult plant resistance to Cocorit and kyperounda. At least one adult- plant resistance gene is common in each resistant parent.
