| المستخلص: | تقدم هذه الورقة دراسة تتناول المشاكل التي تصادف مدرسي شعبية جفارة في تدريس مقرر اللغة الانجليزية الجديد. كشفت الدراسة عن أن أغلب المدرسين بهذه المنطقة يعانون مشاكل كثيرة في تدريس هذا المقرر لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية وأن أغلب هذه المشاكل مردها قصور هؤلاء المدرسين من الناحية اللغوية والتربوية. تقدم الدراسة بعض المقترحات لمعالجة هذه المشاكل. This study intends to investigate the problems that encounter Libyan teachers in teaching the new English textbooks, called ‘English for Libya’, which have been assigned for the students of the secondary stage recently. A questionnaire was administered to EFL teachers in the second¬ary schools of ‘Sha’biat’ Jfara in Libya. The findings reveal that the teachers have been facing a number of problems in teaching the as-signed textbooks in regard to content, language and methodology. Consequently, this study suggests that there is an urgent need of hav¬ing refresher courses frequently in order to upgrade the teachers’ lin¬guistic educational knowledge and to help them approach their teaching task adequately and effectively. |
