| المستخلص: | Crusades towards the Islamic East have attracted attention from both Western and Muslim historians equally. But these battles and military campaigns may conceal a lot of important matters and information, including the role of Western women and its impact on those campaigns. Since Islamic sources did not clearly address the role of Western women in the Crusades and the diversity of those roles except with simple indications and references, this study has been aimed at identifying the view of Western historians on the role of Western women in the crusades, its importance and diversity of the multiple roles played by the Western women in it and the outcomes of that participation. To achieve this goal, the researcher referred to Western history books and their sources that dealt with the era of the Crusades. As a result, the researcher divided the study into several main parts, in which she addressed the position of Western women in the writings of historians of the Crusades and the motives for Western women's participation in the Crusades and the roles which they played in those campaigns. The researcher concluded the study with a summary in which she showed the most important findings she reached. Overall, the findings indicate that women in the Crusades have many and multifaceted roles, ranging from high-impact roles to supporting sub-roles. However, their participation in support services was greater than their direct involvement in combat operations. They have also made decisions which affected the course of events in some of the important historical events of those campaigns.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc 2018. أخذت الحملات الصليبية المتجهة نحو الشرق الإسلامي اهتماما وعناية من المؤرخين الغربيين والمسلمين على السواء، ولكن قد تخفى تلك المعارك والحملات العسكرية كثيرا من الأمور والمعلومات المهمة منها؛ دور المرأة الغربية وأثره في تلك الحملات. وبما أن المصادر الإسلامية لم تتناول تناولا واضحا ماهية دور المرأة الغربية في الحروب الصليبية وتنوع تلك الأدوار إلا بإشارات يسيرة، فقد جاءت هذه الدراسة بهدف التعرف على وجهة نظر المؤرخين الغربيين في دور المرأة الغربية في الحملات الصليبية، وأهميتها وتنوع الأدوار المتعددة للمرأة الغربية فيها ونتائج تلك المشاركة. وقد عمدت الباحثة لتحقيق هذا الهدف الرجوع إلى الكتب التاريخية الغربية ومصادرها التي تناولت حقبة الحملات الصليبية. ونتيجة لذلك قسمت الباحثة الدراسة إلى عدة أجزاء رئيسة؛ تناولت فيها مكانة المرأة الغربية في كتابات المؤرخين للحملات الصليبية، وبواعث مشاركة المرأة الغربية في الحملات الصليبية، والأدوار التي شاركت بها في تلك الحملات، وختمت الباحثة الدراسة بخلاصة بينت فيها أهم نتائجها التي تم التوصل إليها، وإجمالا، تشير النتائج إلى أن للمرأة في الحملات الصليبية أدوارا كثيرة ومتعددة الأوجه، تراوحت بين أدوار ذات تأثير واسع، وأدوار فرعية مساندة، إلا أن مشاركتها في الخدمات المساندة كان بصورة أكبر من مشاركتها المباشرة في العمليات القتالية، كما كان لها قرارات مؤثرة على سير الأحداث في بعض الأحداث التاريخية المهمة في تلك الحملات. |
