| المستخلص: | The scholarly movement throve under the reigns of the Rasouli and Tahiri dynasties in Yemen. Among the scholars who contributed to such a movement during the 10th century After Hejra was Abdurrahman bin Ziyad, the eminent Mufti and well-versed scholar of Zabeed city. Unfortunately, many scholars of Yemen have not been recognized sufficiently by research works and studies. Their efforts have gone unnoticed, especially the scholars whose works have not been published yet. Thus, this research endeavor has the objective of exploring the achievements of one of such scholars who is a real icon but without the expected popularity. The research work enumerates his merits and explains his scholarly efforts, influence on both the knowledge-seek derivational methodology ers and the society, and contribution to the scholarly life at that time. The researcher adopted the descriptive-inductive approach to describe the Sheikh’s scholarly life. It concludes the following findings: his reputation was not limited to Zabeed, nor to Yemen only, but it transcended the Yemeni land to reach other countries. He was known for the solid basis of originalization in his numerous Fiqh (jurisprudence) books. Among such books were his well-known Fatwas (jurisprudent opinions). His career of teaching and authoring was characterized by the favorable spirit of originalization and meticulousness. Not only that, but also he significantly influenced his disciples as he had a prominent role in teaching, authoring, and fatwa issuing. Moreover, the findings reveal that he extensively engaged in spreading knowledge in the society. لقد ازدهرت الحركة العلمية في اليمن في ظل الدولة الرسولية والطاهرية، وكان من هؤلاء العلماء الذين ساهموا في مسيرة هذه الحركة العلمية في القرن العاشر الهجري العلامة عبد الرحمن بن زياد مفتي مدنية زبيد وعالمها، ولكن كثير من علماء اليمن لم ينالوا حقهم من الدارسة والإبراز، وبيان فضلهم وجهودهم، وخاصة من لم يكتب لمؤلفاتهم أن تخرج للنور، فكان هذا البحث إسهاما في إبراز جهود واحد من هؤلاء العلماء، وعلم من الأعلام التي لم تأخذ حقها من التعريف؛ وذلك رغبة في بيان فضلهم، وجهودهم العلمية، وأثرهم في طلبة العلم والمجتمع، ومساهمتهم في الحياة العلمية؛ ليقتدي بهم كل طالب علم يريد النبوغ، والمنهج المستخدم في هذا البحث محو المنهج الوصفي، والمنهج الاستقرائي، وذلك في توصف حياة الشيخ العلمية، وتوصل لعدد من النتائج من أهمها: أولا: مكانة ابن زياد لم تكن محصورة في زبيد ولا حتى في البلاد اليمنية فحسب؛ بل تعدت ذلك إلى بعض البلدان. ثانيا: قوة التأصيل في مؤلفاته الفقهية مع كثرتها، ثالثا: أهم مؤلفاته فتاواه المشهورة، رابعا: تمييزه في تدريسه وتأليفه بالتأصيل والتدقيق، خامسا: كان له الأثر البالغ في طلبة العلم وتوعية المجتمع؛ حيث كان له دور بارز في التدريس، والتأليف، والإفتاء. |
