Il est connu des communautés lectorales que les romans de Tahar Djaout, dont Les Vigiles, renvoient à la vie collective des Algériens. Justement, ce roman, dont la trame est centrée sur les errements d’un inventeur, nous a poussé à nous interroger sur le rapport des dogmes officiels à la production technique, qui est le point culminant de la réflexion. \nDans l’article, le questionnement sur la technique se fait par le texte, mais aussi par l’examen des idéologies ambiantes qui ont abouti à l’ère néolibérale. D’où le dépassement du clivage paralysant instauré par des penseurs, dont la grille ne semble pas intéresser les masses universitaires.
