| المستخلص: | هدفت هذه الدراسة معرفة دور مدرسي علم الاجتماع في تنمية التفكير الإبداعي لدى طلبة المرحلة الإعدادية للفرع الأدبي في مدارس الكرخ الثانية من وجهة نظر المدرسين والطلبة أنفسهم .إذ تكون المجتمع من جميع مدرسي علم الاجتماع في مدارس الكرخ الثانية للمرحلة الإعدادية إذ بلغ عددهم (٤١) مدرسا ومدرسة .كما تكون مجتمع الدراسة من بعض طلبة الرابع والخامس الإعدادي في مدارس الكرخ الثانية والبالغ عددهم (.٢٠) طالبا وطالبة .أما عينة الدراسة فقد تكونت من (٧) مدرسا و(٣٤) مدرسة و(85) طالبا و(115) طالبة .وقامت الباحثة بإعداد الاستبانة وتطويرها التي تكونت من (٣٩) فقرة، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة قامت الباحثة بالتأكد من صدق وثبات الأداة ثم تجريب الاستبانة على عينة من (٢٠) مدرسا؛ وتم تحليلها باستخدام معامل الارتباط كرونباخ إلفا والبالغ (92.5%) وقد أظهرت نتائج ما يلي: ١. إن تقديرات المدرسيين لدورهم في تنمية التفكير الإبداعي لدى طلبة مدارس الكرخ الثانية على الأداة عامة ،كانت بدرجة كبير باستثناء الفقرة (٦) والتي كانت متوسطة ،وأن دور مدرسو علم الاجتماع في تنمية التفكير الإبداعي من وجهة نظر الطلبة هي بدرجة متوسطة. ٢. أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات المدرسين حول دور المدرسين في تنمية التفكير الإبداعي لدى الطلبة، بحسب متغيرات الدراسة في حين أشارت إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات الطلبة حول دور المدرسين في تنمية التفكير الإبداعي لدى الطلبة بحسب متغير الجنس ولصالح الإناث.
