| المستخلص: | كثيرا ما يذكر ابن خلدون واحدا من ابرز العقليات العربية التي قرأت التاريخ والاجتماع والحضارة والسياسة وربطتها بشكل موضوعي واقعي يثير الجدل والتساؤلات، وربما لا اتفق مع آرائه ولاسيما ما ذكره عن العرب، ولكن المنهج العلمي يقتضي أن تشير إلى من لهم السبق في دراسة الواقع الاجتماعي بجميع مؤثراته، وما يهمنا هو ما يتعلق باللغة أو (الملكية اللسانية)، ومن ابرز حقول علم اللغة (علم اللغة الاجتماعي) وهو من أكثر الدراسات اللغوية واقعية، فهو ابن البيئة، والمصور الحقيقي لعلاقة اللغة بجميع مستوياتها بالمجموعات البشرية، وقد وجدته واضحاً جليا في مقدمة ابن خلدون. عسى أن أكون قد وفقت في فهمها وعرضها بما يفيد القارئ الكريم.
