| 520 | |b In financing its development, the Egyptian economy relies mainly on five main sources of foreign exchange; Oil and Gas ’ exports, Tourism revenues, Foreign Aid, Suez Canal revenues and Remittances from Egyptians working abroad. However, the global economic crisis hit these vital sources of government revenues. \ The research aims at determining the dominant constraint hindering economic growth in Egypt in the light of the two-gap model, namely, Saving-Investment gap and foreign exchange gap. Weisskopf's model was applied in Egypt over the period 1987-2005. The next step is to determine the role of remittances in financing the dominant constraint. \ | ||
