المستخلص:The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom is influenced by many factors. First, for many years, technological integration was extensively offered by private schools, with public schools only being made promises after several committees' decisions and reports. However, individual attempts are now being undertaken by public school teachers to come up with technological applications in learning and teaching. Second, although some public school teachers are allowed to use ICT in the classroom in recent years, some school administrations are not convinced about this practice. As a result, some teachers may have partially experienced ICT use in the classroom, while others may only have heard about it. Third, the infrastructure and tools of ICT use in the classroom varies from public to private schools, and depends on the teaching strategy adopted and facilities available. Fourth, not all private schools in Kuwait practice ICT use in the classroom, and some private school teachers have never experienced such innovation. To examine teachers’ perception towards the use of ICT in the classroom in both public and private schools in Kuwait, a study was conducted with over 84 teachers in 32 schools. Participants were randomly assigned to three groups: online, face-to-face, and no treatment. Findings are compared among these groups in respect to school type, and recommendations as to the impact and future direction of ICT use in the classroom are made.
