| المستخلص: | Universities and colleges have experienced a radical shift in circumstances in the past 20 years. As a result consequently, researchers’ ways of co-operation and establishing partnerships with industry has been changed dramatically, also the importance of academic research and its role in the local economic setting, changed during the 1990s. In this paper we discuss the universities role in research and economic setting with a summary presentation of Canadian universities experience in supporting of innovation system. |
