الوصف
المستخلص:Ancient Russia - Moscow tsardom -Imperial Russia has always been a multiethnic state and multiconfessional country. Our report is devoted to the posture of the Muslim elite during the Imperial period of Russian history, I.e. since 1721 (the year when Peter the Great proclaimed Russia an Empire) to 1917. Ties and contacts of Russia with the Islamic world, however, began much earlier. The end of the first millennium AD is the time when tow parallel processes were going on in Eastern Europe – the emergence of the states of its peoples and the adoption by them of the main world religions. Earlier than others (VII century) Khazaria emerged in the lower Volga region when a considerable part of its population accepted Islam, since X century Volzskaya Bulgaria existed in the middle Volga region and Islam here was a state religion since 922.
