| المستخلص: | الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم. عمدة الحفاظ في تفسير أشرف الألفاظ معجم لغوي لألفاظ القرآن الكريم، للشيخ أحمد بن يوسف بن عبد الدائم المعروف بالسمين الحلبي (ت 756ه)، رتبه مؤلفه على وفق حروف المعجم معتمدا على أصول الكلمة دون زوائدها، وقد ذكر في كل لفظة من ألفاظه تحليلا لغويا مستشهدا بآيات من القرآن الكريم تارة وبالحديث النبوي الشريف والشعر والأمثال العربية تارة أخرى وقد استشهد بأقوال أصحاب اللغة ليؤيد صحة الألفاظ التي يبحثها. وقد فسر السمين الحلبي دلالة الألفاظ بعدة طرق، منها: التفسير المباشر تعد هذه الطريقة من الطرائق الأكثر شيوعا في تفسير الألفاظ لدى المعجمين القدامى منهم والمحدثين، ويقصد بها التفسير الدلالي الوضعي المعجمي. والتفسير بالسياق إذ يعد طريقة من طرائق التفسير للألفاظ القرآنية، لأن السياق هو المحدد الأول لدلالة تلك اللفظة في مكانها الذي جاءت فيه. والسياق السببي يعد طريقة أخرى من طرائق تفسير الألفاظ عند السمين، لأنه يشمل على ما جاء في المعجم من تعليل لاستعمال الصيغة اللغوية، لذا نجد القرينة السياقية مصباحا يؤدي إلى معرفة تلك الدلالة لهذه اللفظة. ومحقق المعجم قد خرج أحاديثه، ونسب الأحاديث الشريفة إلى مرجعها، والأبيات إلى قائليها، وزود المعجم بالفهارس العلمية.
