| المستخلص: | Hajj Ahmadu Bello Sardauna, was one of the ancestries of the great Sultans of Nigeria, he made great efforts to restore some of the glories of its leaders and chiefs who established a powerful Islamic state in the country, until it was destroyed by the colonialism. One of his first works was combating ignorance and illiteracy in his village, by founding a new school that he was teaching in it by himself. Then he joined politics with a clear objective: to restore some of the glories of his nation, so he established the Northern People’s Congress in 1949, based on honoring traditions and customs, and leaning towards the Islamic and Arabic orient, and he finally won the rule of the northern emirates of Nigeria. Ahmadu Bello supported Ulama and preachers with money and other means of patronage to help them teach religion to the people, he devoted rewards for them from his own money. He also built mosques in the countryside, and was interested in raising the levels of Quran schools and education in order to fulfill its role in modern Nigeria. His endeavor in Islamic works expanded to reach the whole Islamic world, as he intended to make efforts to reunite it, so he made a tour to some Arab and Muslim countries that resulted in a conference in Jeddah in 29th of May 1961, an achievement that paved the way to his call to the unity of the Muslim world. One of his hallmarks to serve Islam is the establishment of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (Society for the Support of Islam ) in Nigeria, and calling non-Muslims to Islam, and his co-founding of The Muslim World League. In 1966 he was assassinated by treacherous killer, and assassination that made eclipse to the light of the star of this person who beamed in the sky of his Ummah.
