المستخلص:Recently international interest has increased to know learners ‘ alternative conceptions , where it first began by " Jean Piaget’s " attempts to know the children’s concepts about their surrounding world and how it works, also the child is trying to discover his world through observation and experimentation following scientists’ way. Later, this subject attracted the attention of many researchers to learn the alternative conceptions of students, and the reason beyond this interest to alternative conceptions that they impede the acquisition of the correct scientific conception; which does not make knowledge gained from the school meaningful and is unable to interpret the world around them. Therefore, this research aims to identify the students' alternative conceptions and sources of their formation in their cognitive structure and difficulties in their modification , as well as how important it is diagnosed in the teaching of science in order to develop appropriate strategies to adjust them , so as to learn proper scientific conceptions.
