| المستخلص: | The study aimed to discover the relationship between the use of young people for the internet and their level of self -esteem . The study was conducted on a sample of (400) young people between the age 18-35 years , who use the internet, in mansoura and Cairo cities \ It used a questionnaire to test a group of variables including the amount of internet use, the motives, the use gratifications and self -esteem. \ The main results found that the most of youth used the internet between two and three hours daily. For the motives were communication with others, escaping from the problems . Also the study demonstrated that the majority of sample has modest level of self esteem \ |
