| المستخلص: | إن التاريخ هو وعي الأمة شعورها وذاكرتها، صورتها الحقيقية لوحدة أبنائها ويعد جذر ماضيهم وتراثهم، فالشاعر يستلهم الماضي ويستحضره ويحوله إلى حياة حاضرة، وربط بنظرة الإنسان المستقبلية؛ فالشعر القومي كان دائماً مرتبطاً بأهم عنصرين: هما التاريخ واللغة، هذان العنصران اللذان يعدان اللبنة الأساسية للقومية. وهذه الدراسة محاولة استكشاف ماهية العلاقة بين القومية والشعر من خلال استقراء أربعة نصوص للشاعر نزار قباني كان قد نظمها في مديح جمال عبد الناصر، هي على التوالي: (جمال عبد الناصر)، و(رسالة إلى جمال عبد الناصر)، و(الهرم الرابع)، و(في ذكرى ميلاده). بيد أننا سنتناول قصيدة (جمال عبد الناصر) تحديداً بالدراسة والنقد والتحليل بشكل مفصل مكتفين بها أنموذجاً لأخواتها الأُخر.
