| 520 | |b It is necessary to consider the various internal and external aspects of the current Egyptian crisis. However, the present paper only focuses on internal factors represented by the dispute between the authorities and political groups, mainly over each party’s proposal about the way out of the dilemma. This is not to underestimate economic or foreign influence, but local factors seem to be the most significant due to the differences in political parties’ perspective of the track and targets of the transitional stage. \ The political scene is witnessing an increasing mistrust in both the opposition and authorities as long as the conflict continues. Therefore, in light of the controversy of mutual legitimacy and recognition, hard questions are being raised about the possible conciliatory solutions suggested by each party. \ The general elections assigned on April 22, 2013 could have been a good chance to put an end to the crisis. Nevertheless, their delay on the purpose of completing their regulations has led to further debate. Now, if the balloting is to improve the situation, a minimum level of satisfaction needs to be maintained about the legal and executive frameworks of the process in a bid to motivate all parties to join it and accept its results. | ||
