| المستخلص: | يوجد جدل قائم ما بين علم دلالة الألفاظ والبراجماتيكية حول على عاتق من تقع مسؤولية تحديد معنى الجملة. فمن وجهة نظر الباحثين في علم دلالة الألفاظ فإن من يحدد معنى الجملة هو المفردات الموجودة بها وكيفية ربطها ببعض. ولكي تفهم معنى أي جملة عليك أن تعرف معنى كل مفردة موجودة في هذه الجملة. أما الباحثين في مجال البراجماتيكية فإنهم يرتأون أن المعنى اللفظي للمفردات الموجودة في أي جملة لا يقدم معنى كاملا لهذه الجملة. وبرأيهم أن أهمية المعنى غير اللفظي لا تقل أهمية عن المعنى اللفظي. من هذا المنطلق قررت أن أبحث في هذه الدراسة عن الفروقات بين علم دلالة الألفاظ والبراجماتيكية من خلال بعض الظواهر اللغوية المتعلقة بإظهار المعنى الكامل للجملة. كما أنني سوف أقوم بتحديد مسؤولية علم دلالة الألفاظ أو البراجماتيكية في إظهار المعنى الكامل للجملة. There has been a controversy over meaning (especially that of an utterance) and to what degree semantics is responsible for its determination. From the point view of truth- conditional semantics,. The propositional form (the meaning) of an utterance is determined mainly by the meaning of its basic expressions and the way they are combined with one another. In other words, to understand the meaning of an utterance you should know the meaning of the words it contains. The position of pragmatics is different. Pragmaticists believe that linguistic meaning fails to deliver a complete propositional form of an utterance. To account for a complete propositional form, they argue, the contribution of linguistic meaning alone is not enough. We need the contribution of the non - linguistic information which is as important as the contribution of the linguistic meaning. In this paper I will make a distinction between semantics and pragmatics. This distinction will be done in the light of a number of linguistic issues concerned with the determination of the propositional forms of utterances. I will also try to evaluate the position of both semantics and pragmatics in relation to the way they contribute to the meaning of an utterance. |
