المستخلص:This study aimed to identify the obstacles of creative thinking in general education school (10-12) physics in al -Batinah North from teachers perspective . The study attempted to answer the following three questions : 1. What are the obstacles of the creative thinking in physics from the physics teachers’ perspective in al -Batinah North region of Education? 2. Are the estimations of study sample for the obstacles of the creative thinking in physics differ according to the sex variable? 3. Are the estimations of study sample for the obstacles of the creative thinking in physics differ according to teaching experience variable (short- medium-long)? To answer the study questions a questionnaire consisted of (48) items distributed among the recognized five dimensions. The validity of questionnaire was carried out through panel of (11) judges. The reliability was calculated by Cronbach alpha coefficients which found to be (.91). The sample of this study consisted of (66) teachers selected randomly from aal-Batinah North region in the Sultanate of Oman.. The study conclusions were: - The five dimensions of the study as teachers response descending as follows; family and society- The resources and facilities- Curriculum Content - Evaluation - The teacher. - There was no statistically significant difference at the (a=0.05) level in sample estimations due to sex variable in all dimensions except one; which is teacher dimension where the estimation of the obstacles degree level is more by the male teachers than by the female teachers . - There was no statistically significant difference at the (a=0.05) level in sample estimations due to experience variable in all dimensions. In the light of the above results the researchers came up with a set of recommendations and suggestion.
