المستخلص:On November 19-20, 2011 the Middle East Studies Center organized a symposium titled Islamists’ Rule which was joined by around 150 participants from Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Kuwait, Libya, Yemen, Morocco, Sudan, Bahrain and Iraq. \ 11 papers were presented through 6 sessions in the 3-day event. The objective was to investigate the Islamists’ theory of a modem Arab state in the post-uprising era as well as their perspective of handling challenges facing countries of reform and revolts. \ The sessions were arranged as follows: \ 1. Islamist political, intellectual approach to governance \ 2. Islamist perspective of the circulation of power \ 3. Islamists’ stand on other parties with regard to power partnership \ 4. Civil state in the Islamists’ theory and practice \ 5. The Islamists’ position and Challenges facing Arab countries in the post-uprising era \ 6. Islamists’ perspective of regional and international relations during their rule. \ The concluding address, made the symposium’s recommendations of the significance of building a unified Arab strategic vision. Such a project would provide national, pan-Arab support for the uprisings in order to extend to wider Islamic consolidation as well as enhance their achievement capability in a wise and faithful manner in spite of global challenges.
