| المستخلص: | This research shed the light on one poem of Al-Jawahiri’s poetry concerning elegizing Imam Hussein bin Au (peace be upon them). This poem consists of sixty four verses. It is considered as one of the most outstanding poems of Arabic poetry. The research has returned to old resources though it deals with a modern poem. It also depended on more recent resources. It was divided into many sections explaining the elegizing meaning in language and tradition. Then it exhibited the relationship between elegizing poem and that of praise. It also analyzed the poem critically. The research reached some results that this poem has a human mark that elevated this personality to ranks of great men. The language of this poem is well-Knit, and the poet never include religion in it, rather he was objective and able of his art, in addition his personality’ appears clear in the poem. |
