| 520 | |a يهدف هذا البحث إلى توضيح الأنواع غير الشائعة من عقوبات التشويه الجسدي التي ظهرت في العراق القديم، مثل بتر الثدي، وقطع الأصابع، وقطع الشفة واللسان، وكسر العظام والأسنان، وقلع الشعر أو حلقه، وصب القار الساخن فوق الرؤوس، وثقب الآذان وتخييطها بخيط إلى خلف الظهر، وهي كلها عقوبات تعمل على إلحاق الأذى والألم بنفس عضو الجسم الذي استخدم كأداة لارتكاب الجريمة أو تسبب في وقوعها، وقد كان الغرض من هذه العقوبات شأنها شأن عقوبات التشويه الجسدي الشائعة -تجريم فعل معين أو استهجان سلوك غير مقبول، ومن ثم تأديب المذنب وردعه هو أو غيره عن فعل مثل هذه الجرائم، إذ كانت هذه العقوبات تسبب للمذنب جرحا لا يندمل طوال حياته، وفي نفس الوقت تكون عظة للآخرين، ووسيلة تمنعهم من اقتراف مثل هذه الجرائم فيما بعد. |b A Study of Some Uncommon Punishments of Physical Mutilation in Ancient Iraq . This research aims to clarify the uncommon types of physical mutilation punishments that appeared in ancient Iraq, such as amputation of the breast, cutting off the fingers, cutting off the lip and tongue, breaking bones and teeth, pulling out or shaving the hair, and pouring hot tar over the heads, piercing the ears and sewing them with a thread behind the back, all of which are punishments that inflict harm and pain to the same body part that was used as a tool to commit the crime or caused its occurrence, and the purpose of these punishments punishments like common physical mutilation was to criminalize a specific act, or to condemn unacceptable behavior, then to discipline and deter the guilty. He or others refrain from committing such crimes, as these punishments cause the guilty a wound that does not heal throughout his life, and at the same time serve as an admonition to others, and a means to prevent them from committing such crimes later. | ||
