| 520 | |b Place name science or toponymy is one of the most important fields of knowledge that has received widespread attention as a means of leading us to know the history and environment of man from the study of place names and their meanings; one of the highlights of its importance is the interest of the developed world, where the first conference on this field of knowledge was held in Paris in 1938.
