| 520 | |b The whole part of the earth inhabited by the servants of Allah has been affected by pollution and human activity. The increasing human population and per capita consumption significantly constrain natural resources. Increasing urbanization, new industries, and modern agricultural practises can pollute water, air, and soil resources. Natural resources are overexploited and polluted with toxic chemicals that are feared to make it difficult for future generations to survive. If looking at the perspective of Islam, one of the proofs that Islam is very concerned about the environment is the order of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to remove distractions from the path recognised as one of the branches of faith, likewise with his order to plant trees even if the apocalypse occurs tomorrow. Therefore, this article comments on the worldview of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the hadith related to his encouragement to maintain the sustainability of nature. Based on the method of literature and content analysis, the findings of the discussion through the debate of selected hadiths related to environmental care found that various hadiths emphasise the concept of preserving nature. Even the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also motivated his people to plant trees to change the ecosystem for the better, avoid being prone to flooding, and improve water resources and quality due to river pollution. |d Keseluruhan bahagian bumi yang didiami hamba Allah SWT ini telah terdedah oleh kesan pencemaran dan aktiviti manusia. Semakin meningkatnya populasi manusia dan penggunaan per kapita ia memberi kekangan besar terhadap sumber semula jadi. Peningkatan kawasan urbanisasi, perindustrian baharu dan amalan pertanian moden mampu mencemarkan sumber air, udara dan tanah. Sumber semula jadi tidak hanya dieksploitasi secara berlebihan, bahkan dicemari dengan bahan kimia beracun sehingga dikhuatiri menyukarkan kelangsungan hidup generasi akan datang. Jika menelusuri perspektif Islam, salah satu bukti bahawa Islam sangat menitikberatkan alam sekitar adalah perintah Rasulullah SAW untuk menyingkirkan gangguan daripada jalan yang diiktiraf sebagai salah satu cabang keimanan. Begitu juga dengan perintah Baginda SAW untuk menanam pokok walaupun esok akan berlaku kiamat. Oleh itu, artikel ini mengulas tentang pandangan semesta (worldview) Rasulullah SAW menerusi hadis berkaitan galakan Baginda SAW untuk menjaga kelestarian alam. Berdasarkan kaedah literatur dan analisis kandungan, dapatan perbincangan melalui perbahasan hadis-hadis terpilih berkaitan penjagaan alam sekitar mendapati terdapat pelbagai hadis yang menekankan konsep melestarikan alam. Bahkan Rasulullah SAW turut memotivasikan umatnya untuk menanam pokok bunga bagi mengubah ekosistem menjadi lebih baik, mengelak daripada rawan banjir dan meningkatkan sumber dan kualiti air akibat pencemaran sungai. | ||
