الوصف
المستخلص:The seeds of Chichpea from Morocco were more infected, while those from Mexico were less infected in both treatment, surface sterilized seeds or surface unsterihzed ones. The isolation trials proved that the surface unsterilized chickpea seeds showed that more fungi were isolated. compared with the surface sterilized seeds, High, incidence of Rhizopus stolonifer (94,155) and Aspergillus niger (63,95) in surface sterilized and unsterilized chickpea seads, respectively was found. The antifungal effect of plant extracts in vitro was increased with increasing of used concentration. There was a highly significant effect among the fungi and each plant extract concentrations. At 20% of thyme extract, the growth of Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus flavus, and Rhizopus stolonifer was completely inhibited. In addition to, the growth of Alternaria alternata was also completely inhibited at 15% of the same extract. In case of using garlic extract, it was noticed that the growth of Alternaria Alternata was completely inhibited at 10%. concentration. Alternaria Alternata was very sensitive to the used plant extract,i, e .garlic and thyme if compared with other tested fungi. There was a highly significant effect among the fungi In each concentration of the used extract, while no significant between thyme and garlic extract was found.
